The Delirium Initiative

Our Story

The Delirium Initiative emerged from a personal journey of challenges. After being drugged and raped, I found myself on the ground of a gas station and trying to figure out how to get home. I left the hospital the next day, with only a cold pamphlet that directed me to a hotline for support from a volunteer who couldn’t understand my pain. It was also during the rise of the #MeToo movement, yet my story felt overshadowed by those with celebrity status.

A few years later, I faced additional challenges, including a diagnosis of a ruptured ovary and stage 4 endometriosis. This led to emergency surgery and rushed wedding plans to start a family. We were blessed with a daughter and son before I underwent a total hysterectomy (at the age of 32).

Trauma may differ from case to case, however there’s one thing in common - We all share in the feeling that something has been unfairly taken from us - be it safety, health or loved ones. This loss drives our desire for healing and reclaiming control.

Through The Delirium Initiative, I aim to create a supportive community for women to connect, heal, and uplift one another. Every journey matters, and together, we can find strength in our stories.
